Keynsham Skatepark + Pics!
I guess my bitching about the weather finally got through to the guys up there and we’ve had three dry days in a row! Consequently, I’ve skated the past three days in a row, which is something I haven’t done since last summer! Yippee!
I went up to uni for a 9am lecture this morning and met Ben and Jacob afterwards. We headed straight to Keynsham and started skating before 11am (when did that last happen?!?). There were a few people at the park, I’d have thought it’d have been empty, but c’est la vie.
The skatepark is quite tightly packed, there isn’t too much room to flow properly, but it’s still possible to get good lines around the park, though this is difficult when it’s not empty. I was very impressed with all the transitions and coping, both of which were great, and blasting around the bowl corner is good fun. Arguably the best feature (agreed by mr Ian Hendrie) is the sub-box, which is almost shoulder height on me, it’s huge and good fun!
We managed to get a few tricks in, but hopefully we’ll go back in a few weeks when the locals are getting a bit bored of it and we’ll have a better skate!
